UPDATE 1: Stable rollout begins widely

Samsung just started the public rollout of the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy S22 series. The update is now available in many regions including beta and non-beta users.

You can identify the latest update with software version S908BXXU2BVJA/S906BXXU2BVJA/S901BXXU2BVJA for the Galaxy S22 Ultra/S22+/S22.

Check for the latest version under the software update option inside the device Settings.

Samsung reportedly released the stable One UI 5.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 users, which is quite surprising. As recently the company announced the expansion of One UI 5.0 by the end of 2022, after amending the previous leak to launch the new UI for the Galaxy S22 by the end of October 2022.

So it gonna just like it better hurry than expected, here’s one more twist with the update that it initiated with the Italy users only. But the company soon expanded its reach as soon as possible for other smartphone users in different markets.

As per the Sammyfans, On October 24, Samsung will begin a wider One UI 5.0 update rollout. The Galaxy S22 is not the only device mentioned for the Stable One UI 5.0 upgrade that day; the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices are also on the list.

For the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the stable One UI 5.0 update firmware has a build version of S908BXXU2BVJA, while the builds for the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus have version numbers of S901BXXU2BVJA and S906BXXU2BVJA.

Also, the update comes with the following 6 Key features of One UI 5.0:

  • New look for icons and illustrations
  • New call pop-up and new notification layout
  • New management for device customization (blocking screen, backgrounds, new layout for widgets)
  • Productivity optimization (improved multitasking, new ability to extract and scan text, optimized Samsung Dex and Samsung Notes, Connected Devices)
  • Optimized routine mode, new Sleep mode
  • Optimizing privacy and security
