Samsung has started to roll out a new update for the Galaxy S22 series, which brings the latest April 2024 Android security patch. Accordingly, it’s an initial release and the patch is live in Europe. However, the firm will expand the reach of the update to more market users soon.

Talking about the offerings, so, the April 2024 update is a regular monthly patch that didn’t bring any major changes, but it assures to improve the device’s overall performance. It also provides improved protection against harmful threats, viruses, and other safety-related assaults.
Simultaneously, the security maintenance release of the month also mentions fixes for over 40 vulnerability exposures including 1 critical and 26 high CVEs from Google and over 7 SVE items from Samsung. Overall, the patch is like a booster, that will optimize the user’s experience.

Furthermore, the consumers of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra will be able to identify the patch through One UI build version S901USQS4DXD2, S906USQS4DXD2, and S908USQS4DXD2 respectively.
The offerings of the patch are collected in an installation package of around 262.26MB and it can be downloaded through Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Series One UI 6.1 Update
It’s worth mentioning that, users of the Galaxy S22 series are eagerly waiting to obtain the features and optimizations of the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update. However, the Korean tech giant has not yet confirmed the software’s release date for these devices. But we can expect the update to reach Galaxy S22 users later this month.
