Samsung rolls out Galaxy S10 Lite August 2022 security update
Samsung has begun rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy S10 Lite smartphones. This update mainly installs the August 2022 Android security patch that improves the performance of the device and fixes some issues that affect user experience.
While this is just a minor monthly patch, Samsung is also preparing the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the device owners. This will bring a bunch of new features, changes, and improvements to this three years old Galaxy flagship.

It’s with mentioning that the Korean company is currently testing the One UI 5.0 update on Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series through public beta in select countries. Whereas, the first stable release is said to happen on October 17 or 19.
Moving on, according to the official information, Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S10 Lite August 2022 security patch with the One UI build version G770FXXS6GVH4 that comes in a package size of around 200MB. It should be noted that the update is releasing in India at the time and will expand to more users in the coming time.

Furthermore, the latest update comes with improvements for the security of your device to protect it from bugs and viruses and keep your data safe. At the same time, it also comes with enhanced stability, which ensures seamless system functionality and reduces the chances of problems like app crashing or lagging.
Other than this, Samsung also resolves over 50 privacy and security-related issue and vulnerabilities for S10 Lite alongside the August 2022 update, in order to boost the overall device performance. These exposures are related to MAC address leak issues, improper access control security buds, Samsung Dialer, Samsung Dex, Samsung Knox, and others.
As soon as the update will reach your phone, it will notify you. In case you want to check it manually, head over to the Settings of your phone. After this, enter the software update sections, hit the Download and install button, and follow a couple of instructions mentioned on your screen.
