Samsung rolls out January 2023 security update for Galaxy S21, S10e, A50 and A14 5G

Samsung expanding the reach of its January 2023 security patch for the remaining users worldwide. In a recent development, a bunch of Samsung devices including Galaxy S21, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy A50, and Galaxy A14 5G have received the January 2023 security update.

As per the information, the January 2023 security update will enhance the overall stability and security of Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy A50, and Galaxy A14 5G smartphones. Simultaneously, it also brings fixes for some common bugs and issues to get a more optimized performance.

Moving ahead the January 2023 security patch bulletin also mentions fixes for over 70 security-related vulnerabilities including 52 CVESs and 20 SVEs from Google and Samsung. Other than this there is nothing that the update contains for your device.

Now talking about availability, so the January 2023 update is currently rolling out for Galaxy S21 Verizon mobile network in the US. Whereas, the unlocked variants of Galaxy S10e and Galaxy A50 are also obtaining the patch in the US. On the other hand, this is the first update of Galaxy A14 5G and it’s rolling out in some countries.

Users can upgrade their device to the latest version manually by visiting the Settings section, here tap on the Software & Update menu, and hit the Download & Install button.
