Samsung sending October 2021 security update to Galaxy Note 10

According to the latest info, Galaxy Note 10 series smartphone users in Colombia, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago have started getting Samsung’s latest October 2021 security patch through a new firmware update. Consumers can identify the update via release numbers – N970FXXS7FUI5 and N975FXXS7FUI5 for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ respectively.

Just now, the Korean tech giant has published the October 2021 security patch details. The document confirmed that the new Galaxy Note 10 series update installs fixes for around 60 CVEs from Google and various SVE items from Samsung.

Besides the device stability enhancements, Samsung didn’t include any new features or noticeable system optimization with this OTA. Furthermore, it’s important to mention that the update rollout is in the initial stage and the company will circulate this update to each Galaxy Note 10 in the coming days.

As of now, the Galaxy Note 10 series is running the One UI 3.1.1 on top of Android 11. As it’s a foldable focussed version, it doesn’t bring noticeable features over the One UI 3.1. Though these devices are compatible with the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update, which could release in early next year.

  • Open device Settings
  • Tap on Software updates
  • Hit the Download and install button
