Samsung has revealed the details of the September 2020 security patch, and it has also updated the list of eligible Samsung devices for monthly and quarterly security updates.
In the list, the most recently released Samsung Galaxy devices have now been added to its update schedule. Samsung added some devices to monthly updates and others quarterly.

Changes:
Samsung added the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the monthly updated list. You will also see the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Z Fold 2 5G in the newest addition to monthly updates as well.
Meanwhile, the company is also adding the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ to a quarterly update cycle. You will also see the Galaxy Tab A7 and the Galaxy M51. In addition, the Galaxy S8 Active will no longer receive the monthly updates. It will now receive new software quarterly.
Samsung won’t give any software update to the Galaxy J2 Core, Tab A 10.5 (2018), and Tab S4. But they will continue to receive important security fixes.
