Samsung will not serve Galaxy AI features with One UI 6.1 to Galaxy S22 Series
On January 17, 2024, Samsung pulled off the curtains from the Galaxy S24 series, and just after that the Galaxy device owners kept their eyes on the One UI 6.1 update which will bring Galaxy AI features. But you will not believe that Samsung will not serve Galaxy AI features with One UI 6.1 to Galaxy S22 Series.
Yes, recent information claims that Samsung will not release Galaxy AI features with One UI 6.1 to any of the 2022 models including the popular Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Notably, this news may disappoint some users who were eagerly waiting to try out the latest features and enhancements.
As per the details, Samsung’s Head of Customer Experience, Patrick Chomet hinted to TechRadar that the Galaxy S22 series isn’t eligible for Galaxy AI features, at least anytime soon. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra will benefit from the new artificial intelligence-derived tools.
It means the models including Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will only get served with the Galaxy AI features through One UI 6.1 update as of now.
Samsung official said,
- We want to ensure that, over time, our AI experiences can be supported by [mobile] performance, which leads to CPU and GPU capability,” Chomet continued. “So for now, we are learning; we are going step-by-step.
- Number one, we want to secure the quality and the performance of what we deploy. Then we will learn how people use [these features] and tune the performance. Number two, we will deploy [Galaxy AI] on a second set of devices – specifically, the S23, S23 FE, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 and Tab S9 – to see how it works.
