Samsung’s One UI 6.1 coming to Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 but there could be a twist
The latest iteration of Samsung’s Android custom skin came pre-installed on Galaxy S24. Now, some older device owners who think their smartphone is eligible, have started waiting for this prominent yet feature-rich update. While a recent input suggests that One UI 6.1 is also coming to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series.
As per the info, a Samsung moderator on the Galaxy S community confirms that they are planning to distribute One UI 6.1 software update for a handful of devices including Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S23 FE in the first half of this year.
The moderator also apologized for the delay in the One UI 6.0 error correction version and stated that the work is in progress and could be available for users soon. We can assume that the February 2024 security patch will serve as a booster and fixer and after that, the devices will receive the advancements and new features of the latest software version.

However, there could also be some twists like the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 FE will receive almost all the offerings of One UI 6.1 including some Galaxy AI features. But the update could be something superficial for Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 as advanced features like AI are reportedly not coming to 2022 or below-year-launched models.
