September 2020 update is rolling out for Huawei Mate Xs (EMUI 10.1.0.167)

Huawei’s foldable phone, Huawei Mate Xs on EMUI 10.1 update receiving the latest software update, which installs the new security patch released in September 2020 for improved system security.

Last month, we had reported that Huawei officially confirmed the EMUI 11 beta recruitment for Huawei Mate Xs and MatePad 10.8 inch. Currently, this recruitment is for Chinese users and soon expand for global users.

  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to Wifi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for updates.
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates.
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates.
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates.
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  9. Reboot the device.
