T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy Note 20 receiving eSIM support alongside March 2021 security update
In August 2020, Samsung launched its new Note flagship, Galaxy Note 20. This lineup comes pre-installed with One UI 2.5 based on Android 10 and is now awaiting the upcoming One UI 3.5 update, as these phones have received the One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11.

Although, the Galaxy Note 20 series recently joined the party with an April 2021 security patch. Now, according to the latest information, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra users who have purchased a phone from a US T-Mobile operator have started receiving a new firmware update.
The Note 20 series smartphone users can identify this version by the following versions: N981USQU2DUC8 and N986USQU2DUC8 for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra respectively. The carriers will distribute this update in steps to prevent download issues, plus there’s also a daily limit on downloads.
As per the update log, the new firmware of the Galaxy Note 20 series brings eSIM support and a security patch in March 2021, which increases system security. The SeIM function allows you to activate your mobile network plan without using a nano-SIM.

- Open device’s Settings
- Scroll down and select Software updates
