Xiaomi recently added a total of 8 Redmi devices to the EOS list. This means that these Xiaomi devices will no longer receive any MIUI updates or security patch support from the company. The affected devices include the Redmi 10X, 10X 4G, 10X Pro, POCO F2 Pro, Redmi 9, 9A, Note 9 and Redmi K30i 5G.
Notably, the list of Xiaomi devices that will no longer receive any MIUI update also includes a popular Redmi Note 9 series, which was expected to receive MIUI 14 in the coming weeks. Yes, the company was testing the current version of MIUI for the Note 9 series, but recently the models have been added to the EOS family.
Therefore, the reason behind this happening is yet unknown. But now it’s confirmed that the devices will not receive any updates in the future. Here the EOS indicates, the end of support. However, the list usually incorporates outdated devices that have completed their software support and are not prepared for further upgrades.
