MIUI 12.5 for Mi 9 Pro 5G/9 Lite/Mi CC9, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G/Mi 10i, Redmi Note 8/8 Pro, Redmi Note 9 4G/9 Power, and more devices might release in mid-January 2021
Xiaomi is releasing a new MIUI 12 beta update with version 20.12.28 in China. According to the changelog, this beta update brings new features to the Mi Browser.

Due to the major version update, a set of Xiaomi devices will start to receive MIUI 12.5 in mid-to-late January 2021. Below you can check the list of the devices.

The new beta update adds the privacy protection function and web page video player canvas adjustments function. Now, users can customize the web page permission. Below you can check the changelog of this update.

In addition, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, Redmi K30 Pro, Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi K30S Ultra are suspended for this version due to fixes affecting stability issue. However, this update brings new features for Mi Browser.
Xiaomi recently launched MIUI 12.5 with a set of new features and optimizations. The internal testing program already started in China. Eligible users can register for the MIUI 12.5 early access.
