Unlocked Galaxy S10, Note 10, and A50 getting February 2020 security patch in the US

Samsung is sending a new software update to the unlocked Galaxy S10 series, Note 10 series, and A50 smartphones. The latest update brings the February 2020 security patch.

Availability:

This update is rolling out to the Galaxy S10e, S10, S10+, Note 10, Note 10+, and Galaxy A50 smartphones. The update is available for unlocked smartphones in the US. Samsung has already released the February 2020 security patch for the international variants of the Galaxy Note 9, Note 10 series, and Galaxy A50.

Samsung reveals that the February 2020 security patch fixes 2 critical vulnerabilities in Google’s Android OS, a high-risk vulnerability and 8 moderate. Along with Google patches, Samsung provides 30 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items. Samsung security index (SSI), found in “Security software version”, SMR February-2020 Release 1 includes all patches from Samsung and Google.

If you want to check for the update manually, just head into the device Settings then tap on the Software update menu.
