Samsung is extending the reach of its April 2023 security update for more users of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 in the US. Earlier the patch was live in various markets including India, Europe, and America, however, the remaining users will also collect it soon.
As per the information, Samsung is now releasing the April 2023 Android security update for the carrier-locked models of Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the US. Whereas, the carrier-unlocked owners have already collected the advancements of the firmware.
Samsung has also started the development of its next custom skin the One UI 5.1.1 for the unreleased Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip devices. Thus, the Fold 4 and Flip 4 could be the first to obtain the functionalities of the approaching software the One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13 OS.
April 2023 security update for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 has arrived with One UI build version F936USQU2CWCC and F721USQU2CWCC respectively. Being a monthly security patch, the update will improve the core mechanism of the system and make it more reliable.
Additionally, it will also enhance the security and stability of the device and resolve some common issues, along with fixing 5 Critical, 46 High, and 1 Moderate level of CVEs. Therefore, we suggest you upgrade the fourth-generation foldables to the latest version for a boosted performance.
Notably, the update is released gradually and the Fold 4 users are collecting it at the Metro PCS and T-Mobile networks. Whereas, the Z Flip 4 device has acquired the patch at the DISH Wireless network in the US.
To install the latest patch on your fourth gen foldable, open the Settings of your phone and tap on the Software and Update section, now press the Download and Install ket and follow the onscreen instructions.
