Verizon releases April 2021 security patch for Samsung Galaxy S21

Samsung launched its new flagship series – Galaxy S21 in January 2021. These devices pre-packed with Android 11 and One UI 3.1, which are in fact the latest software systems to date.

However, these devices are eligible for new security updates every month as they are Samsung’s most expensive phones and also belongs to the flagship segment.

Recently, the Galaxy S21 phone started receiving new security patches, and this update is now expanding to the US. As per the information, Verizon has begun to improve the system security of the carrier bound for the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 +, and S21 Ultra smartphones by installing an April 2021 security patch in the US.

  • Samsung Galaxy S21+: G996USQU2AUC8
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: G998USQU2AUC8

WHAT’S NEW

  • The current software update provides performance improvements and the most up to date Android security patches on your device.

In addition, the internationally unlocked Galaxy S21 also received an April 2021 security update and some camera improvements. Moreover, the update allows users to use regular cameras to capture previously restricted portraits by the company.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATES:

  • Open device’s Settings
  • Scroll down and select Software updates
  • Tap on the Download and install option.
