Recently, Samsung rolled out a new software update for Galaxy Note 9 users, which brought improvements in system security. Later, the unlocked Note 9 model also received the same firmware update in the United States.

The firmware version of the new update is N960USQS8FUC2. This update only enhances security and does not bring any new features or major system optimizations. Below, you can check the changelog for this update.

WHAT’S NEW:

  • The current software update provides the most up-to-date Android security patches on your device.

As it is an initial rollout, it may take some time to cover more Galaxy Note 9 devices in the United States. However, Galaxy Note 9 users are not eligible to receive the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update, as they have already upgraded two Android OS and completed the main update life cycle.

You can check for the update manually through Settings >> Software updates >> then click on Download and install.
