Verizon releases May 2023 update for Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the US
Samsung may soon start rolling out the fixes and optimizations of the June month for the eligible devices. But before that, the company is trying to seed the remaining models with the May 2023 security update, as such, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 models are the latest to collect it in the US.
Verizon has recently started rolling out the May 2023 Android security update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices in the US. Installing the latest patch is beneficial for the device as it will keep the system up to date with the most recent security protocols and technology advancements.

After installing the firmware, the consumers of the second-generation foldable will experience a more boosted and optimized performance of their phone. It further helps to fix some common glitches that may have been discovered in the system, reducing the risk of system crashes and data loss.
Moving on, the patch also provides increased security for the system, ensuring that confidential data and sensitive information remain safe and secure. In addition, the May 2023 security patch bulletin also mentions fixes for 4 critical, 48 high, and 3 moderate levels of CVEs and 21 SVEs.
Therefore, the update is currently rolling out for the carrier-locked models of second-generation foldable at the Verizon network in the US. However, the unlocked models of the device will also acquire the patch in the coming days and the company will soon release the patch for remaining country users as well.
