Xiaomi has begun the May 2023 security patch rollout for some of its newly launched devices. On the other side, the Chinese tech giant is also releasing the April 2023 security update for the remaining users and the Xiaomi 12 Lite is one of them.
The April 2023 security update for Xiaomi 12 Lite models is already available in some regions and now the firmware is making its way to the smartphone owners living in Turkey and Taiwan. Therefore, the remaining will also collect the patch soon.
Moving on the users of Xiaomi 12 Lite will be able to identify the latest firmware update via the MIUI build version V14.0.4.0.TLITRXM and V14.0.4.0.TLITWXM in Turkey and Taiwan respectively. However, the update also carries a 4.2 GB download package size.
Notably, the changelog of the April 2023 security patch didn’t mention any new features or major changes for your device. But it assures to enhance the security and stability of the gadgets and make them more safe and secure by improving the core mechanism.
Additionally, the update may also resolve some common bugs and glitches which are found in the system and protect the phone from harmful threats. Hence, after installing the latest firmware users will enjoy a more boosted performance of their smartphones.
Xiaomi 12 Lite smartphone users are currently enjoying the features and optimizations of the Android 13-based MIUI 14. In the future, the company will provide a more adequate user experience for the owners of 12 Lite, as the model is eligible to get MIUI 15 software version based on the Android 14 operating system.

As usual, the update is rolling out through OTA over the air method and will take some time to cover all the eligible units. You can wait for your turn or can go with the manual installation process through Settings > About Phone > System Update > MIUI version > Download & Install.
