Xiaomi ends Mi Note 10 Lite software update support
Xiaomi has recently ended software update support for the Mi Note 10 Lite smartphone and added it to the EOS (end of support) list. The device was launched back in the year 2020 and came pre-installed with Android 10. The model further received Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 software and January 2023 security patch as its last update.
Now, as per Xiaomi’s software update policy, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has finished its lifecycle of receiving the software and firmware updates, and now it’s time to join the EOS devices list as a new member. It means the device has to spend the rest of its life on the same software on which it is running, as there is no chance to get updated in the future.
Xiaomi’s software update support policy is more relevant than other Android manufacturers, it upgrades the smartphones according to their capabilities and the dependability of their core system and then added to the EOS list. The Chinese tech giant has added a bundle of devices to this list, and various devices are still in the queue, to get admission in this EOS group.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite is an adequate device with some significant features as the phone comes with a 6.47-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The device is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM and features a 5260mAh non-removable battery.
Therefore, the EOS list usually incorporates outdated devices and your Mi Note 10 Lite is also one of them, thus, if you are operating the mentioned device, then we recommend switching to a new one, instead of using the same. Because Xiaomi devices are generally very secure, but software update is also necessary for secure running.
