[Update: Re-released] Xiaomi Mi A3 gets stable Android 11 update but don’t install it

Xiaomi has re-released the Android 11 update for Mi A3 users. Users of this device report that they are receiving the update with firmware version 12.0.3.0.RFQMIXM and weighs 1.40GB.
The changelog of this update is the same as the first update and it also brings December 2020 security patch.

As per the latest information, the affected Mi A3 users can repair their devices for free, even if their devices are out of warranty. All they have to do is visit any of more than 2,000 service centers around the country.
Xiaomi also apologized to affected users in an official statement, but this may not be enough for some users. Xiaomi often encounters problems with the Mi A series in terms of updates.

Xiaomi has started to rollout a stable Android 11 update for Mi A3 users. It brings a set of new features and improvements for a better experience.
The new update brings all the standard Andriod 11 features, including support for Chat Bubbles, smart device controls, new media controls, one-time permissions, wireless Android Auto support, conversation notifications, and more.

It also improved the Notification shade and DND mode. Users will have to download a 1.4GB software package to install the update.
However, the company directly rollout the stable Android 11 update without a beta program. It turns out that this version is more harmful than any other software version released by the company for phones.
This is because the latest update makes the phone more robust, and as a result, early adopters now have broken phones. After installing this update, users of Mi A3 devices facing a lot of issues, even their smartphone completely become dead.

We recommend Mi A3 users not install the Android 11 update. Xiaomi is already aware of these issues and we can expect the company will soon provide a solution for this.
