Xiaomi has kicked off an MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 9 Lite users in Russia. The new update comes with a bunch of new features and optimizations to enhance the device performance.

Mi 9 Lite MIUI 12.5 update is currently available for Russian variants and soon it’ll expand for all users. This update is based on Android 11 and the device is eligible to get the next version of Android i.e. Android 12.
As per the mentioned changelog, the new update installs the June 2021 security patch to improve the system security. Users who are interested can know more about the update through the changelog and updated version mentioned below.

- From the Home Screen swipe down.
- Tap on Settings icon.
- Select About phone.
- Hit on MIUI version menu.
- Finally, click on Download update
