August security update is based on MIUI 11 and Android 9 Pie for Redmi Y3, while for Mi 9 this update is based on MIUI 12. It improves the security and performance of the device. The update is rolling out for India variants of Redmi Y3 and Global variants of Mi 9.
The update is rolling out via an OTA. Users can also check for the OTA update via Settings >> About Phone >> Check for Software Update. Below you can check the updated software version, download link, and changelog.
