The company is regularly rolling out two Android updates and a three-year quarterly security update for its mid-range and flagship devices. So this is a big change in Xiaomi’s software update policy.

In this article, you can take a look at the device list that will receive three years of major operating system updates and four years of security patch updates.

LIST OF THE XIAOMI DEVICES:

  • Xiaomi 11T
  • Xiaomi 11T Pro
  • Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
  • Xiaomi 12X
  • Xiaomi 12
  • Xiaomi 12 Pro
  • Redmi K50
  • Redmi K50 Pro
  • Redmi Note 11
  • Redmi Note 11s
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro/5G

Well, this is the first time a new plan was announced a few days before the release of the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro. However, later the company also made an announcement on Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE.

But currently, we don’t know whether OEMs will follow the same policy for their existing smartphones. However if the new solution can reach the existing devices, we believe that the Xiaomi Mi 11 series will definitely taste it.
